At such time, when misery attacks a human being, many times he tends to loose his mental balance; tension, worry anxiety become his second nature. He himself is unhappy and generates unhappiness all-around him. The quagmire of unhappiness takes him in its grip and depression follows. Many physical ailments become his destiny. At such time if a person seeks the help of his own conscious will, he can definitely minimize the effect of crisis if not totally avert it. A person with strong will power maintains his morale high even during the unfavorable circumstances. He tries to catch hold of small strings of hope firmly. Faith and trust in God goes a long way in establishing mental balance during crisis. With no one to help, when one realizes that his money or power cannot buy means to avert the crisis, the God’s name is most powerful shakti. At that time he has two options. One is to sink in the pit of negativity and be doomed forever. The other is trying to float with little strings of hope offered by God.
A person who uses his full strength both physical and mental with full faith in the grace of Almighty definitely comes out a winner. A resolve of helping others out from the same situations ; strengthens his own will power. Selflessness is a great virtue. A selfless person earns the good will and prayers of many people all-around him. These prayers work wonders, help to come him out of the crisis. By lot of positive thinking mind and body get lot of nourishment. If one makes use of that time in making the best use of those circumstances, then negativity can’t stay for long. Thinking of individuals even worse than oneself gives additional strength. Reading good spiritual literature, life stories of great men reveals that happiness and unhappiness are two sides of the same coin called life. Life is changing continuously. Thinking about the impermanent nature of the world, one realizes that bad times will not last forever. There is always a dawn after a dark night. Reminding oneself again and again that it is a passing phase and good time is just around the corner increases mental strength tremendously. Learning from crisis also helps in strengthening. “Suffering brings wisdom, pleasure takes it away” – Swami Satyananda. One must pray God to give strength to face the unfavorable circumstances. The mental balance can be maintained and will power increased if one looks at crisis as a blessing in disguise. An attitude of gratitude to God that ‘What ever God does is for my good’ also fills one’s being with lot of positivity.

As the body and mind relax and become strong, will power automatically increases. Strong will power can easily be cultivated with sincere efforts. The most important need of the hour is to remain alert and aware of one’s mental state and try not to loose one’s mental balance.
