By grace of Almighty, this year I was blessed to attend Satchandi yagna held from 21st Nov. to 25th Nov. at Rikhia Peeth {deogarh}. Since so many years, I was longing to go there, and attend the yagna and have the darshan of GURUDEV SATYANANDA. But some how due to some or other problem, my visit could not be materialized. Though I had been reading many books, written by Swami Satyananda and Swami Niranjananda since many years. By following many of Gurudev’s teachings, I could understand his greatness Satsang with him in the form of books had been my favourite pastime since long time. His books are extremely simple, both in language as well as in teaching though they carry a deep meaning spiritually but their simplicity enables even a householder, beginner very very comfortable in understanding them. His books came to my life in the form of ‘AMRIT’ in the desert of life. When I was thirsty for a drop of water in the desert of my life, he filled my inner being with nectar which revealed his greatness bit by bit. And me!!! Amazed enchanted by such revelations tried to grab a drop of nectar greedily with an unquenching thirst which was new even to me. And they were my own experiences, so how could I deny them? Where was the question of possibilities? They were happening and I was enjoying every bit of those little experiences. In the innermost chamber of my heart, I always kept on wondering, how it would be like to meet such a great personality.
When I happened to have his Satsang in his physical presence, every experience of the past blurred!! Such greatness!! Such simplicity!! On the very first day of the grand Satchandi Yogna which is a part of Rajsuya Yogna of Gurudev, he appeared in the pandal at the Rithia Peeth Oh God!!! The whole atmosphere was charged by his unlimited energy and Aura. From one place to another he met small groups of devotees and disciples present there. Out of these groups, a few people got up and talked to him. And he talked to every one who went near him. In the group where I was sitting he pointed out a man and praised him highly for the latter’s achievement in yoga. Also he blessed another devotee by making him stand in that group. We all were mesmerized by his personality. He blessed each and every one present over there. Kanyas of Rikhia peeth Sangam enchanting melodious kirtan “NAMO NARAYAN DURGE MAA, NAMO NARAYAN.......2” Kirtan was too good to be true. And with the simplicity of the great man gurudev remarked, “This is simple way of saying good morning mom”. Many of us laughed at this remark. Later on I realized that ‘Durga Maa is our own mother intimate’ was it not a deep message? With a humility this was a contrast to his greatness, he kept on his satsang, in between melodious kirtans by saying “AB THODI GAPSHUP KARENGE” and this approach kept the Satsang light and alive. We all were laughing and laughing, many f us trying to write and capture the precious diamonds and gems which he was strewing generously all over the pandal. In plain and simple words he delivered the great message of “serve, love, and give” of his great guru Shivananda. Each and every pore of his being was for divine mandate. And this was glorified in his yogna not merely by preaching but by practice. Neatly one and a half thousand Kanyas and Batuks of Rikhia Peeth whom he glorified as transformers of divine grace were seen swarming all over the Pandal wearing new dresses daily. Everyone treated them with respect and love, even those disciples whose level was not very high. During Kirtans when these Kanyas and Batuks danced, Gurudev instantly compared them with Gopis of Braja. All children had easy access to Gurudev and were looked upon as envy by many of his disciples and devotees. During the path of Durga saptashati a stream of villagers kept on coming to receive the Divine Mother’s Prasad. Every one present in the Plandal could see a truck full of different articles coming offered to Divine mother and the same was distributed among the poor people daily in the presence of Gurudev himself. I kept on wondering, “Who is capable of benefiting so many people?” What Divine life? Even if Gurudev was receiving donations but, so much???? Everything was going on smoothly even if it was at a large scale. What meticulous planning??? Each day many thousand people came there were given Prasad both in the form of food and also in the form of articles. And there was a smile on each face. Was it not a Divine abode? I kept on wondering, and Gurudev gave the whole credit of arrangements to Swami Satyasangananda by declaring her engineer of this whole arrangement.

In this satsang he glorified the importance of Rajsuya Yogna. He said in earlier times, only Kings used to perform these types of yagnas. I’m the king of Yoga. I have succeeded in making Yoga a household word all over the world. I have traveled to the countries like Iran and Iraq. Even Saddam Hussain received the message of Yoga with respect. The perception and conception of Yoga was accepted by him. He said Yoga is must of everybody. Asanas for physical fitness, Pranayam, meditation to Samadhi, each and every aspect of yoga is more important than life and health. No one opposed me. I have been very much successful in establishing the power of yoga all over the world.” Humorously he said “I’m the emperor because I’ve won the hearts of millions all over the world.”

“KOI CHAH NAHI, KOI CHINTA NAHI, MANAVA BEPARVAH I have no desire. I am free of desires and that is why I am the king of kings. Those who have a lot of desires are destitute.” By his own example he glorified the example of renunciation. He said “You have desires only when you think that you don’t have”. There is emptiness in your being, and then only you run crave and desire and run after materialistic possessions, was deep meaning of this statement. “In foreign land people opened their heart and purse for me. On Guru Purnima millions of people put their faith in me.” And I fully agreed to his statements. All five days of Satchandi Yagna he was present in the Pandal generating love, happiness, and strong vibrations of energy. Though busy in his Sadhna in seclusion, he has devoted his whole life for the welfare of humanity No religion, No caste, No hard and fast rules, No superstitions attracts even foreigners and youngsters. Nearly one and a half thousand foreigners were present in this Yagna. Many of them were even cleaning toilets by wearing gloves. Who else can command such devotion and respect except a king??? Such a large crowd of disciples thronging Rikhia Peeth and not a single policeman!!! Isn’t it amazing!! No indiscipline!! All the disciples were engaged either in reciting Durga Saptashati or Karma Yoga by inner devotion. He did not pay even a single penny in the form of money to anyone. In this age of KALIYUG when every one is running after money, even the close relations of mother and son, father and daughter are not spared, and such a sight was welcome to both heart and eyes. We all present there were thinking only about Divine mother or him. Whether he was present physically or not, all disciples and devotees were mentally tuned to him and him only. All of us received the ‘AKSHAT’ given to us with great respect. Even many rich disciples were seen wearing the Prasad in the form of sarees, kurtas etc. next day that is the last day of the Satchandi Yogna. The memories of these blissful gift either in form or otherwise, are still very much fresh in my mind. And I fully believe that the same would be in the case of other disciples also. He is an emperor in true sense, the whole world, his kingdom and mankind, his ‘POOJA’. He is living only for the welfare of the humanity
