Divine is present in the core of each and every individual. It is due to bad karmas and samaskaras of previous births a person enmeshes him self more and more in such negativity. God’s name is a strong anti dot for all negative thinking. But many times, such people become averse to even God’s name & stop going to temples. The internal faith on God comes only due to the grace of God himself. So all of us must pray whole heartedly, innocently for the grace of Lord. A prayer that comes from the depth of heart is heard instantly by God.
In order to achieve success, happiness and bliss one has to train the mind patiently by keeping an alert vigil on the working of one’s lower mind, one can become the ‘drashta’(observer) of his thoughts in the waking state. And then starts the slow but sure journey towards eternal happiness and bliss. As slowly and patiently, evoking God’s grace at each step; one weeds out these negative emotions, pristine glory of the self shines! And with patience the higher mind can be made stronger and stronger. Great guru Sivananda has laid a lot of importance on the practice of introspection. “During self analysis higher mind finds faults with the lower mind and reprimands it.”- Swami Sivananda.
By selfless service, the process of internal purification is hastened and then the veil of ignorance is lifted gradually. And as the manifestation of divine grace increases, the lower mind itself becomes weaker and weaker. And with the removal of negativity, a deep sense of calm and peace fills the inner being of an individual.
So let us all aspire to become 100% positive in our thinking. Let us all have full faith in God’s will and at each and every step be satisfied with what we get. Training of mind is a must so that virtues like humility, patience, selflessness, compassion become our nature. As we become internally pure, strong and virtuous, we can work more efficiently for the welfare of mankind. The ultimate goal of life is God realization. Treading on this path of working for the welfare of universe we can easily and surely realize God’s grace in abundance. There may be obstacles on this path, but at each step God comes to help. Only thing required is faith, trust and patience!
“Devotion to God is the ultimate Sadhna.”- Swami Satyananda.
