I decided to take charge; to come out of this vicious circle of pride and depression. During my brush with Geeta, I came across a statement of Lord Krishna, “Samatavam Hi Yog Uchayate Dhananjay.” This statement briefly means that we should try to remain balanced in both success and failure. I decided to experiment. It is very very tough initially. But with strong determination I could cultivate only a fraction of balance in my being. I am myself amazed at the outcome!
It was so simple; yet so far off! By practicing this single teaching of Lord Krishna; I started feeling very much at peace with myself. As I could maintain my inner balance, I could assess my positive and negative points; could see the grace of God in my success vividly! On the way; it launched on me automatically that I did not have power to control the outcome of my own effort .This reinforced the second most important teaching of Lord Krishna which emphasize; donot bother about the result. He has again and again said that ‘karam karo par phal ki chinta mat karo.’
Oh god! By my own experience I realized the hidden meaning of these two important teachings of Geeta. Now how could I be proud of any success? I could see clearly that it happened due to His grace. I was only an instrument in His Hands. The great unattainable virtue of humility has started sinking in gradually and slowly. Amazingly I am feeling calmer, happier and much more relaxed. My spiritual journey has taken a new flight!
Divine Energy is flowing in abundance automatically through the wide open door of humility.
