Yognidra has proved to be highly effective in turning the tide of dangerous and fatal diseases like H.I.V., Cancer and rheumatoid Arthritis for which Allopathic system of medicine has no cure. As it takes one to deeper level of one’s unconscious mind, the person concerned becomes aware of one’s problem areas and their causes. Once the cause is detected, the solution is much easier to find out in most of the cases.
When I happened to practice it for the first time, I had no inkling of what it was about. As body is made to relax completely, mind also becomes lethargic. I dozed off many times in between losing the track of instructions given by Swami Ji. But after the practice was over I was deeply relaxed both physically and mentally. Gradually when the practice was repeated at regular intervals, mind started getting trained. Training of mind made it alert, active and dozing off was reduced to minimum. Various scenes mentioned during the practice could not be visualized but the mind kept on racing from one pleasant memory to another memory and the result was deep relaxation and happiness. Many negative feelings and attitudes which I had suppressed since childhood; came on the surface of conscious mind. I must admit that I did not like them, yet I was greatly relieved; because at that moment I could mentally confront them with a courage and equanimity which was altogether new to me. Right from our childhood, we keep on collecting wanted and unwanted; pleasant and unpleasant experiences and incidences in our psyche. The process is exactly similar to dumping waste products and some useful articles in a box in our home. With no time and energy to sort out useable material fromunusable, the box becomes over stuffed (how ever big it may be) and starts over flowing. Since we can see it we have to sort it out and throw away the clutter. But how many of us sit and take stock of our own mind purge it of all the unnecessary thoughts, beliefs and expectations. The irony of the situation is that most of us are not even aware of it. Andwhen a saturation point is reached, mind due to over spilling cannot take any more, the imbalance results in disease on the outer surface.
Yognidra has enabled me to take a peep into the inner recesses of my unconscious mind, find out the deeply buried causes of my problem. It has helped me to conquer the fatal and crippling disease of Rheumatoid Arthritis. With my own conviction and honesty, I can tell you there were many enriching experiences on the way which have made me deeply happy, relaxed and much better individual. My mind does not dwell on negative thoughts any more; they keep on coming and going of course but are not able toaffect me for a longer period of time. I have become strongly positive even in the midst of the worst circumstances. Especially when situations and circumstances take me by surprise due to their unpleasantness, I don’t get easily disturbed. Even if the shock comesit does not stay for a long. The instant positive aspect cools me down; I am able to regain my mental balance. I am happier and healthier than before. I am at peace with myself. The most important of all, I am living my life to the fullest!
